We regret that the CCE XVII had to be cancelled as the Covid-19 pandemic made it impossible to meet in person.  We thank everyone who was planning to participate for their understanding and especially thank the conference chairs (Tim CharleboisJamey Young and Gargi Maheshwari) for their gargantuan effort, patience and dedication.  We also wish to similarly thank the poster session chairs (Karthik JayapalShawn LawrenceOlivier Henry and Yao-Ming Huang), the workshop chairs (Laura Palomeres and Anurag Khetan), the Early Careers PreConference chairs (Ioscani Jimenez del Val and Amanda Lewis), the session Chairs as well as all the speakers and poster presenters.   We recognize the disappointment of the CCE community that this superb program could not brought to fruition, but now we look forward to CCE XVIII in April 2023 in Cancun, Mexico under the capable leadership of Laura PalomeresTongTong Wang, and Chetan Goudar
