Cell Culture Engineering XX

An ECI Conference Series

May 1-7, 2027
Quebec City, Canada

Letter From the Chairs

Since its beginning in 1988, the Cell Culture Engineering (CCE) Conference series has been an influential forum for leaders and experts from academic, regulatory, and industrial backgrounds to convene and discuss cell culture and related advancements that impact a growing spectrum of modalities including recombinant biologics, cell and gene therapies, and vaccines. The last CCE (XIX) held in Tucson (April 2025) was no exception and we are excited to build on this foundation.

We are designing a compelling program for CCE XX and are excited to announce that it will be held in Quebec City, Canada (May 2027). The Quebecois live by the motto “Je me souviens (I remember)” which signifies a profound and comprehensive remembrance of their unique history and French origins. Following the lead of the Quebecois CCE XX aims to celebrate and explore the unique history and learnings of the cell culture field over the last 40 years while contemplating the implications of and how to incorporate cutting-edge scientific advances as we stand on the cusp of the age of AI and how these can shape the future of our discipline.

We are committed to upholding the key hallmarks of this conference series:

  • High-quality scientific program focused on advances in the cell culture discipline
  • Participation of the top cell culture experts and technical leaders
  • Engaging events and activities that provide opportunities for networking, intellectual exchange and creativity

We look forward to hosting CCE XX and to collaborating with many of you on the conference planning.

Thank you for your continued support and contributions to the CCE Conference Series!

General Information About ECI

Engineering Conferences International (ECI) is a not-for-profit, global engineering conferences program, originally established in 1962 that provides opportunities for the exploration of problems and issues of concern to engineers and scientists from many disciplines. Over 2000 interdisciplinary conferences have been held.

The format of the conference provides morning and late afternoon or evening sessions in which major presentations are made. Poster sessions will be scheduled for evening discussion as well. Available time is included during the afternoons for ad hoc meetings, informal discussions, and/or recreation. This format is designed to enhance rapport among participants and promote dialogue on the development of the meeting. We believe the conferences have been instrumental in generating ideas and disseminating information to a greater extent than is possible through more conventional forums.

All participants are expected both to attend the entire conference and to contribute actively to the discussions. The recording/photographing of lectures and presentations is forbidden. As ECI conferences take place in an informal atmosphere, casual clothing is the usual attire.
Smoking is prohibited at ECI conferences and conference functions.
