Proposal Guidelines for Series Conference

Please use these guidelines when proposing the next conference in a series of ECI Conferences:

  • Suggested title of conference
  • Preferred dates/location
  • Name, organization, mail/e-mail addresses, phone/fax numbers of Chair and Co-chair(s)
  • Organizing Committee Membership (name, affiliation, address, e-mail/phone/fax numbers). At the time the proposal is submitted, this committee should consist of at least five members in addition to the chairs. If the conference is an international one, we strongly urge that there should be committee members from around the world as appropriate.
  • Potential Co- Sponsors
  • Other proximate conferences (within approximately 6 months) that might conflict in content or compete for attendance. Please explain.
  • External funding to be sought. List all non-ECI sources, amounts and chances of success.
  • List all Publications including abstracts, preprints and post conference publications.
  • Report of the chair of the previous conference.
  • Synopsis: A brief explanation of the intended scope and thrust of the conference. A tentative outline of the program should be supplied.
  • List of potential session chairs, speakers
  • Publicity suggestions

  • New Entry/Exit System for European Union

The European Union (EU) has introduced a new entry/exit system for travel into and out of the Schengen area that will use biometrics and facial recognition for border crossings. It replaces the manual passport-stamp system with electronic registration of entries, exits and refusals. As it is rolled in, there may be delays as biometric data is collected.
