Venue Information
Hokuto, Yamanashi prefecture, Japan: Hokuto is located in north west corner of Yamanashi prefecture. Hokuto covers a very large area—603 ㎢ and is enclosed on three sides by tall mountains. The Mt. Yatsugatake range lies on the city’s northern boundary, Mt. Kai-Komagatake and the Minami Alps dominate the western border, and to the east are Mt. Kayagatake, Mt. Mizugaki and other peaks in the Chichibu Mountains rising more than 2,000 m above sea level. The expansive Kofu valley opens up to the south of Hokuto, with the majestic contours of Mt. Fuji visible beyond that. Within the city limits, there are dwellings between 400 m and 1,400 m altitude, and the nature, landscape, and social infrastructure woven into this topography forms a diverse array of spaces.

Transportation
Hokuto city, Yamanashi prefecture, Japan, is located approximately 150 km west of Tokyo. Most travelers fly into Haneda Tokyo international airport (HND) or Narita international airport (NRT) and take train transportation to Kobuchizawa station (CO51) on JR Chūō main line.
From Haneda Tokyo international airport (HND) to Kobuchizawa station:
Head to JR Shinjuku station (JY17, JC05) from the airport. Please refer to the access guide of the airport (https://tokyo-haneda.com/en/access/train/index.html). Ride Express train AZUSA from Shinjuku station to Kobuchizawa station, 120 min. Seat reservation is required.
From Narita international airport (NRT) to Kobuchizawa station:
Head to JR Shinjuku station from the airport. Please refer to the access guide of the airport (https://www.narita-airport.jp/en/access/city_access). Ride Express train AZUSA from Shinjuku station to Kobuchizawa station, 120 min. Seat reservation is required.
There is a free shuttle bus service from Kobuchizawa station on the JR Chūō main line to the conference hotel (Hoshino Resorts Risonare Yatsugatake).
